AFIA welcomes the Draft Second Edition of the ABCB Condensation Handbook which we find is much more informative and useful than the first edition released in 2011.

Condensation is a very pertinent issue for Australian buildings as we deal with the implications of increased thermal R-values in roofs, walls and floors on the surface temperatures and potential for condensation to occur within those elements. The correct selection and installation of reflective pliable building membranes for your design and climate will help manage these risks to an acceptable level and increase the longevity of the structure.

The ABCB Condensation Handbook 2012 can be obtained soon from  http://www.abcb.gov.au/.
